On the surface, The Comedy Zone has been bringing in national headliners and celebrities to Charlotte for decades, and Belmont native comedian and celebrity, Fortune Feimster, is now a national and global presence. But the city’s comedy scene is and has been growing steadily, bringing in big names and introducing the next generation of comedians. Rafi Bastos is a 6’7” tall Jewish-Brazilian comedian with an accent like Dracula and a rapidly growing social media presence of stand up clips in English. Many of Rafi’s super-viral stand up clips come from nightly performances at the prestigious Comedy Cellar. In his home-country of Brazil, Rafi is a trailblazer of comedy, media and is one of the first comedians to pioneer the art of American-style stand up comedy in Brazil.
Noel’s biting one-liners and topical social commentary have made him a force to be reckoned with in the comedy world with over 8 million supporters across social platforms (as of Oct. 2023).
